NOWIA Unete, Center for Farm Worker Advocacy which began in 1996, is a movement of farm workers and immigrants that strives to empower and enrich the lives of both groups through education, cultural presentations, advocacy, representation in issues that affect their lives and organizing to defend immigrant rights.
We began our work 30 years ago helping local organizations provide housing for farmworkers and other marginalized populations in primarily rural areas. While focusing on those who are often unable to advocate for themselves, we are positioned as a liason to the community with government, industry and community organizations.
